Yellow Alert - Jaundice in newborn babies
CLDF has launched Yellow Alert, a campaign concerned
with the early and appropriate referral of newly born infants with
liver disease.
Yellow Alert has the following materials (please click on the relevant
link to download a PDF of the item):
• Jaundice protocol for community healthcare professionals
• Baby jaundice leaflet for parents
• Poster
NB: Digital printing of the stool colour chart will result in alterations to colour. You are advised to order printed sets from CLDF.

CLDF is able to provide Yellow Alert packs to healthcare professionals. Please go to the literature order service to place an order. CLDF is also able to provide multiple copies of the parents baby jaundice leaflet and the poster for use in antenatal classes. Contact the CLDF office to place an order.

CLDF now has two small A5 hospital introduction packs available to supply to all units caring for paediatric hepatology patients. One is for families and the other is for young people. The packs give an introduction to CLDF and the support team and also contain a Guide to the liver, Glossary of terms and a literature order leaflet for families too. It also contains a pen and “post-it” notes. They are all contained in a plastic see through envelope. CLDF thinks these will be great for you to use as they contain basic material needed by the vast majority of families as well as some information on CLDF and how they can make contact.
In addition, CLDF has a range of medical and nutrition leaflets for parents which can be supplied to your unit.
