I trust that you have had a restful festive period. It is with regret to announce that we are postponing the BSPGHAN Annual Meeting that was due to take place 26th -28th January 2022.
The priority is to keep our members and guests well and so we will need to limit social gathering, especially as we are experiencing unprecedented sick leave in our hospitals.
We worked hard to offer a virtual meeting in April 2021 and thank you for supporting that. Since the pandemic started, BSPGHAN has ensured that trainees, associates and members continue their professional development, offering superb online learning and training. A huge thanks to our energetic webmaster, Kwang Yang Lee, trainee supporters and members who have contributed to such a high quality educational series.
So why meet face to face in 2022?
The pandemic has highlighted the crucial importance of colleagues acting together – in particular, the challenges that span units, regions and nations. It has also reminded us the importance of working collaboratively and creatively to rethink priorities and shape future care.
The new date of 25th – 27th April 2022 will, we hope, will offer the chance to get together with confidence. We will provide as much notice as possible so that leave can be booked. Apologies for the inconvenience this has caused to our speakers, chairs, sponsors and those who have submitted abstracts and delegates who have registered – we will honour your registrations.
Please contact Carla, our administrator if you have queries or require a refund.
Stay well and safe. We anticipate advising you of the new dates within a few weeks.
With best wishes to you and your families and friends for a happy, peaceful and healthy New Year and the same throughout 2022.
